Can I connect an AV310 Widescreen to a video iPod® not listed on the package?
Yes. The iWear Composite A/V Adapter for iPod has been tested and approved for use with the iPod touch, iPod classic, iPod with video and 3rd generation iPod nano. It will also work with other iPod models that have video out capabilities. iPod models not listed have not been tested and approved by Apple.

Why does my iPhone display an option to go into Airplane Mode?
When you connect the Vuzix AV310 Widescreen, your iPhone will present you with the option to go into Airplane Mode, which turns off the communication capability of the iPhone while it’s connected. This means that you’ll avoid potential audio interference, but you’ll be unable to make or receive calls. If you choose not to enter Airplane Mode, you can make and receive calls, but you may experience some audio interference.

How do I connect my iWear AV310 Widescreen to my portable DVD player?
There are a couple of different ways to do it. The connection can be made using the RCA style composite AV cable that comes with your AV310 Widescreen or you can purchase an optional cable designed to connect directly to your device. A large selection of optional cables are available from www.vuzix.com.

Can I use alternate earphones with an AV310 Widescreen?
Yes. The earphones provided with the AV310 Widescreen are removable and can be unplugged and plugged back in later if you wish to use them again. When using an alternate audio system with an iPod or other device, remove the AV310 Widescreen earphones before connecting it to your iPod, to avoid excessive volume. Plug a set of headphones into the top headphone jack on your iPod or the audio out jack on other devices for audio.

Will the AV310 Widescreen work with media that is not 16:9 aspect ratio?
Yes. Full screen 4:3 content will display with left and right pillar bars on the AV310 Widescreen. Another option is to zoom in on 4:3 content by selecting option “Z1” from the on-screen menu. This option will zoom in on the center of your video, clipping the top and bottom and make it fit horizontally and fill the screen.

Will the AV310 Widescreen work with 2D, as well as 3D video?
Yes. The AV310 Widescreen works well with standard 2D video as well as most common 3D video formats, including left and right interlaced and Red/Green anaglyph..

Can I use a rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery in my Av310 Widescreen.
Yes. A good quality, name brand and fully charged 2100mAh NiMH battery will provide power for up to 8 hours. Most well known brands of NiMH batteries will work fine but there are a few brands, such as the Energizer Rechargeable NiMH 2500mAh do not fit in the AV310 Widescreen. Most batteries are built with their positive post of a standard dimension. Batteries with a shorter positive post may not fit correctly into the AV310 Widescreen’s battery enclosure.
